A Challenge

I have been thinking of challenging myself with story telling and drawing

I am going to be planning a short comic/manga for my story that I will make into my major project

Here is the mini plan of what I plan to flesh-out more about the story from two different views of the characters

A chubby girl is happy in herself and bombastic about life, but begins to fall for a cute guy in her class. All her friends encourage her but he doesn’t seem interested.

A shy guy likes a chubby girl but can’t ever confess due to being bullied and wanting to protect her from his torment. He also has the top grades in his year group.

Shy boy’s story

It all starts when the shy boy is trying to pick which snack to buy at the local store, when the kindest cutie pie swopes in and gives the best advice he had ever received about what different snacks he could get for almost any situation. Left astounded and smithen, the shy boy tries every day to make the ‘cutie pie’ smile, with ether helping completing different tasks for her, hiding snacks for her in her locker, and trying to get the courage to speak to her. Though life is looking a bit brighter, he is still trying to dodge all the bullies who torment him everyday. Can he really try to ‘get the girl’ when he can’t even stand up for himself? She is the only light in his life. Without the hope of her, he would have nothing but his top grades in the school. Would she ever give him a second glance? And will he ever be able to walk down the halls freely? He can only try. 

Chubby girl’s story

It all starts when she is at the local store, getting her daily essentials like sweets, snacks, and all the chocolate goodness in this world. She spots a struggling, really cute, boy trying to get a snack. She feels that her unlimited knowledge can finaily help the less fortunate with what snacks to get for what occasion. After helping the boy, she begins to notice that she is receiving new snacks in her locker, and tasks are being complected for her. She is floating on air. Someone likes her! But how? She is not cute and thin like other beautiful girls. Sigh. It’s probably a mistake. But, she still clings to the possibility of love, all while dreaming of who it could be. A possible love triangle arises when the smartest and cutest boy in her class starts to take notice of her. Can this really be happening! Oh, life is confusing. She then decides to try to be the ‘cute girl’ who gets the boy by losing all her weight, no matter what!

With this being my idea, I will begin to storyboard/bullet point the story for a comic/manga and see where I go from there
