Style practice

I saw a really cute and simple style I want to give a try
The style if from some Korean artists, and it is cute (here are some examples)

I love it. So, I wanted to try and practice drawing in this simple way (it looks simple but will probably be really hard)

First, I will try to get the basic shape
That was fast, the clothes took a while but considering how long it takes for me to plan my work, I created this really fast... But the line work takes my a long time so we shall see
I also did this really fast compared to all my other works. I now like this style even more now. I did not add any changes to the line thickness, to try an create the animation style more that if it was different. Not bad (when I took the plan lines away it looked bad so I'm gonna keep it there)
The base layer now added, now to add colours... I am going to try a pale colour palette for a cuter style. Lets do this
Base colours added. I think I should add some little shading and a strip on the jersey (I like to animate in one tone for a really like the style but with this style I think I can try a little shading)
I also added blush like in some of the art I saw, it adds a little more colour to his face, but now I think the linework is to dark so I am going to change it
And here it is
The finished style with a new white ring around it to bring it out more. It is a very cute, baby like style and the simplest face of all, none of it (but the eyes). I really like how fast I managed to draw this as well so I will be using this style a little more from now on-wards. I will look more into other aspects of this style soon

The Next Day

OK, I want to unsure that I understand this style, so, In a different software called Clip Studio Paint (I am still trying to learn how to use it, only had it 2 days now), I am not going to look at the drawing I drew and try to recreate the drawing from pure memory and upgrade it

Here it is!
It looks a lot younger than the other one. But it is a known style of mine, having larger heads than what it should be, making them seem younger. I am yet to learn how to stop the lines from getting larger or smaller in the new software yet, but I will learn. I can also see that I added more colour than the other one (still pale but with more saturation)

I am happy to have managed to recreate the drawing in my own way and feel like I can draw in this style with this face (yet to try other faces yet). I look forward to it

Update

I got some art advice and they said I should add a mouth or eyebrows as they got confused with the blank expression. That's OK :D So I added a mouth and made the eyes larger
I like both, but in the image I had seen, there was only eyes. I like both though and will compare both in future events. But I am happy with this result

What do you think? Mouth or no mouth?
