Research Question Try 2
I have looked at what the people of SIT have messaged/discussed on Discord (I use it to keep in contact with them all) and there were some really interesting points made

when it comes to questions I kind of think of writing a question as a story, so you start out with your basic I'm writing a story that is about this, here's my medium, here's my reason behind it and here is my audience
cause if the Single question is to go over all classes then it needs to able to all of them doesn't it?
cause from that question, it sounds like it can be researched
your question will develop through the year
its not like its set in stone day 1
With these little hints, I will look back at what I want to work/improve on throughout the year
Wants
I want to trial the 3D to 2D technique I plan to try at least once
I want to create a moving short film for my major project
I want to improve my animation and special effects (lighting, dust, etc)
I was to develop a believable/real character people can identify with
I want to improve my background art a lot more
I want to improve my storytelling skills and techniques
I want to do the best I can do with what time I have
I want to practice practice practice when I can
Wishes
I wish to improve my art and enjoy what I do
I wish to find out where I wanna go after SIT
I wish to amaze myself with what I can do
I wish to be recognized for the work I create
With all this now listed. What am I gonna do for my final question?
This is the film I am planning of using/creating
Can I create an emotional short 2D animated film that highlights the bond between people, all while improving my visual and technical techniques (3D)?
How can I capture the hearts of the audience by creating a short 2D animated film with (3D) techniques that enhance the visual and emotion of the film?
Is is possible to experiment with lighting and 3D effects within a 2D animated short film to highlight the emotion to the audience?
Can I create amazing new visual artwork (concept art) to better the 2D animated short film I will create, along with trialing new techniques (3D) that enhance the visuals?
Can I develop a beautiful visual animated short film that showcases the bond of brothers and the raw emotion from a sudden loss, combined with visual techniques?
Can I use both 3D and 2D to reflect different times (flashback/memories) within a short animated film all while showcasing the bond between family combined with beautiful visual techniques?

I don't know if any of these will work... I will get advice :) But from who...
I messaged Tutor Bex!
She first got me to list the key words I use for the question
I listed. Short film. Techniques (like lighting etc). Emotion (it has a good emotional balance). Visual. Bond of family
She then asked what I mean by them, what emotion? What visuals? Etc
So I expanded on what I listed
A sad emotion (as it shows grief for one character who lost a loved one)
Visuals. To improve my art and make amazing visuals with lighting, detail in background, etc
Bond of family. Showing the love between an older and baby brother
Techniques. I wish to experiment with some new techniques/ideas to better improve the quality of animation (and time to create it)
I then realized that this has helped me a lot!
I plan on looking into maybe (maybe) having a 2D animated flashback and 3D toon shaded present time
(like in Kung Fu Panda 2 - Po's flashback)

More Advice from Bex!
She put 'What grief? Do you have a storyline in mind? A character's journey to show?
Is being male important? Why? What is there about the relationship between brothers that u want to explore?
What techniques? How can your characters be brought to digital life more convincingly? Is one technique more useful than other?'
Good questions
I responded 'Let's see. The storyling plot is a doctor remembering the past with his baby brother. The reason he became the doctor is due to the grief of loosing his brother
The journey he goes through is not shown on screen, but is left for the audience to imagine how he got to where he is now
It is a baby brother because I have an amazing voice actor who is a little 3 year old boy (my nephew) and would add a lot to the story (if the baby brother has some words in it)
It is an older brother as bros are bros. It could be a sister but (not that their any less closer), the two brothers can relate more being both boys, despite the age gap
I am yet to expand on the techniques fully, but that is part of the fun I wish to experiment/research more into (possibly over the year if possible)
And I will learn which techniques are a success and which are not, if I do try them in the first place'
This is really good information I need to remember when doing my presentation this week! This is good stuff
I will do a new blog post for the question's again, a fresh start really
