Now we are looking into Group Dynamics

The most important thing is communication, as most of the problems occur when there is mis-communication or other factors

What can get in the way of good group dynamics?

• Aggression: Disagrees with others or is inappropriately outspoken
• Negator: Is negative and critical of others and their ideas
• Withdrawn: Does not participate
• Recognition seeker: Tries to dominate sessions and/or is boastful
• The Joker: This person introduces humor at inappropriate times
• Group Think: This is when people put consensus over the desire to reach the right decision. This prevents the group from exploring the possible right decisions
• Free Riding: Some group members take it easy and leave the others to do the work. These people can work hard on their own but limit their contribution in the group situation "social loafing"
• Evaluation Apprehension: When people believe they are being judged harshly so the rest of the group hold back their opinions
