Today, we will be looking at the Oscars of 2020

These photos are of the Korean Director 'Bong Joon Ho' of 'Parasite' that made history by being the first Foreign-Language film to get Oscars
This is a good win for Korea and they seem so happy
Most films that win are usually made in America, but this could spark a new change for the Oscars
But, who are the other winners and what I think about them?
I don't really watch many films. But with the animation world and Oscars, there is a clash
Parents vote for the films that their children watch, instead of what they actually liked watching. Not the best for getting the best film really
The films we are watching today
Hair Love, winner of of animation
Such a cute film with a great message. A great idea done well. So cute. SO CUTE. So many people in the credits. Especially the producers ha ha. I do like how they used the music
This film is about a daughter and father, the father trying to tame this young daughter's hair. It is cute. It is about excepting their amazingly, hard to control hair. At the end, we get to meet the mother who is bold, due to being sick in the hospital
Last year, Bao was the winner, 2019
I love this film. Cute style, cute story, well done and just amazing. I would watch this over and over and over. This film has influenced my work as of last year. I just love it. It's amazing. So pretty and great music and message
This film is about a mother learning to deal with her baby boy growing up. I just love this film. With the bond between them being with when they make food, in the mothers dream she is with her baby boy, who is a dumping. Very cute. I love this film lots
Another film is Late Afternoon, nominated
A strange film with an interesting style. The story, it must be all about the memories of then the older woman was younger. It is pretty cool with interesting angles and animation. Very unique I find. Cute mini love story. Cool animation and angles. Sad love story. Colours everywhere but very cool animation. Almost abstract. Cute mother and daughter moment there
It is based on memories with a mum who is getting dementia. That was well done. The memories coming back to her. Well done
Finally there's One Small Step, nominated
I have seen this film. It is so cute. It is about a girl who dreams of going to space. It shows her growing up and reaching her dreams. I like this film. It is so cute. Great music, cute style and just amazing. Adorable. Very, very, Very great colour theory. I do love this film lots
I love how she grows up and her love for her father and her father's love. Just amazing animation and amazing story. The father is a shoe maker. He is such a great dad. I find it so sad then the dad is gone. But is give a great message. Just love
There was Dear Basketball, winner in 2018
Pencil animation. Very stylized and amazing. Beautiful. It is about the star Kobe Bryant, who was killed this year with his daughter. His voice over is very cool. It is amazing and great angles, simple colours
This is Kobe's journey to becoming the best today. It has more meaning more than ever now. I like this. Very cool transitions between shots! Amazing. Beautiful
And also LOU, nominated
This has a great message on sharing, and not stealing. It is based in a playground filled with children. It is animated very well and is a simple story with some humour
With the two main characters being a boy who steals others toys and the lost-propriety box brought to life, it is an interesting story to watch. Cool style
I don't think or know if this film won anything, but we are watching it as a calm between the films
Animal Behavior
This has tough themes with animals dealing with their problems. They are adults problems. It has a little bit of humour within it. The dog is the main person helping everybody in the room. Adult humour. Oh man. Adult humour. Well animated though. Wow
Now for some Films (Not Oscar)
The Tree of Life
We watched a trailer for this. Confusing. Amazing looking, but I didn't get it. It is about a boy growing up and his relationship with his parents. Cute moments. Hard moments. Lots of stuff
Phantom Thread
This film is similar in how I viewed it. Confusing. Is there a common theme in these films that would have the films make sense? This film is about two people who are 'in love' I think. The man works with fabric around Christmas. He believes he is cursed or something
Margaret
This film seems to make sense. It is about what happens to a girl when they watch someone get hit by a bus and die. The poor bus-driver, the poor girl. It has a lot of emotion and pain. It seems very soap-opera like
Lady Bird
This is about a high school girl who is a rebel. About a mother and a daughter's relationship. It is really cool looking. It is a slice of life with the soap-opera. Not bad. Cool looking
Ahhh, the girl grew up in a Catholic home and church. Children who grow up in that environment tends to be more rebellious, as they grew up with so many rules, so they break them. I can understand this, I grew up in a Christian home. I love it though, but it is not for everybody. I feel like being Christian, there are fewer rules, but that is my opinion
