The Colours - Introduction

OK. Today I will be showing what I am thinking about creating with my major project

Something small and simple is the way to go. I am worried that it is not simple though

So, I will show what I have and try to explain what's going on inside my head with some images I have drawn up

I am thinking of creating a small mini story from a much larger plot called The Colours. The Colours is a large story, but for the major project, I plan to create a small simple snap shot from it

With this being one of the final outcomes, what I had planned was to practice/create a lot of concept art for both the characters but background art and other effects. I was also going to look into how I would market/show this story in like a poster or t-shirt layout. When I was thinking of this more, I will be doing all of this for the major project in the first term anyway. So why not add a finished project/short film for the end of the year to really show off my work?

Now I am at the stage where I am planning/expanding more on the characters, what kind of story this would be if created in fill, how the background art will look and what animation style will it be (2D or 3D or both?)

To try to put visuals to what I am thinking, I first wanted to look more into the logo for this story, I tried many font types and some random ideas for now

Next I looked more into the main characters, who they are what what they will look like. While doing this, I fleshed out their character more (I planned this on the way home once, so it is yet to be digital)

But. If this idea The Colours does not work out, I have a back-up plan I can use instead. Brother Doctor, another story I created in the holidays. It is the simple story showing the memories of a doctor when he was with little brother and what happened. I created this to try to create the feeling of both 'warm fuzzies' and also 'weight/pain of grief'
