Here is what I've come up with

Logline
The unseen battle of Good vs Evil. The battle of the negative thoughts on Joel’s shoulder and the happiness and positivity of his best friend Andrew. Will the negative thoughts get the better of Joel or will his best friend Andrew push him through it?

Treatment
Try 1 – Without the Pixar layout
Joel is sitting in his living room, reading a book at peace. Suddenly, a negative whisper catches his attention. Fazor, the personification of Joel’s negative thoughts, takes form on his shoulder. Starting to get caught up in his thoughts when Andrew, Joel’s best friend, burst in the door. Engaging in a small chat, Joel hears Fazor’s negativity once more, getting Joel to feel/look greyer. Andrew takes notice of his friend's greyness and engages in a hypothetical ‘Colour War’ with negative Fazor (who only Joel can see, Andrew is just trying to cheer his friend up in a jokingly matter/not taking it seriously). Joel in the middle of the war, he listens to both sides, responding greyly (quietly or blandly) as Fazor dominates his mind. Andrew (in Joel’s mind that is) strikes a major blow at Fazor but Fazor pulls the ultimate move. Now, Fazor is full sized (normal human sized) overpowering Joel from behind, causing Joel to be completely grey. Andrew knows now he must take a less jokingly approach and really sit Joel down. Andrew puts an arm around Joel and starts small but builds up the colour in Joel’s life/eyes. Fazor cannot get past Andrew’s arm as he begins to fade further and further away. Andrew has won. Joel, now in full bold/soft colour, smiles warmly at his best friend/ Both walk out together to hangout/get food and the story ends.

Based off this idea, I have been creating a poster/concept idea for Joel and the 'war' of colours
I will upgrade it, when I get home :)
