Within this episode, it shows main characters Gumball and Darwin trying to figure out why the world is strange and 'grey' today. They discover it is being caused by the wholesome, pure friend called Alan. Alan has given up on his faith in the world, and the grey represents his feelings. With his feelings being about the world, the world around him becomes grey

This is just like what I want to have happen, but with my main character Joel. Joel's grey thoughts are aimed at himself, so others are not affected like with Alan. Also, for Joel, there is a little 'Grey Man' (Fazor) causing his greyness
