Marvelous Designer

I have played with this software before, last year

But last year was a long time ago. I want to both challenge myself and play with marvelous designer

I saw a YouTube video of a Hunfu being put on, and got inspired
Hunfu's are really beautiful and I really want to try and make one!
The Difference Between Male and Female Ruqun Hanfu
The first 2 parts I must make are the under shirt, and the shirt
This shows it pretty well
Another good example

The big problem I am facing is that I cannot find any patterns for the hunfu...

I will give it a shoot anyway!

OK, First I am using a t-shirt base and editing the points to be like the top shirt of the hunfu
I must not get rid of the connection between the ends and edit the part highlighted to be underneath the other fabric (the clothing must have the right side on top. If you wear it with the left side on top, it can represent a dead person for that is how they dress the dead)
This would be great, if this didn't mean he was dead. Time to switch sides
This is harder than I thought
Got it :)
I want this one piece
Much better!
It is folding weirdly... Time to fix
Better. Now, looking back at the YouTube video...
OK. Edit time
This could end badly
Huh. Not bad. I am pleased
Yes. OK, I think it doesn't go low enough (the collar). Edit One More Time
OK, better. Now the skirt
Will this work?
Yes and no. It needs to be more free flowing
What about this?
Yes, lots better. Maybe too much fabric though
Now to get a good simulation
Love it. Now to add both of them together
Hope it goes well
It Looks Great. But, the skirt is to heavy for the little belt (even though I strengthen it). So, I will attach it to the shirt to keep it still (just to keep it there)

I cannot fix it :( I want to fix it but....
Changing the material saved my life

I do know that the skirt does not fold like this. I will edit the skirt. In-fact no, I'll make a new one, it will take less time
Belt. It overlaps. This is where the lots of fabric comes from
OK. I will do this in parts. One layer overlaps the other, so I will simulate the under layer first
So far so good
Amazing! It looks a lot tidier. Just great. This is showing how it is folded over
It Works!
I just remembered that there is another shirt layer. So, I am gonna copy paste and edit what I have already (I am lazy and smart)
Getting there :)
Yes
Now to layer up
I AM SO HAPPY

Now for the belt. With the belt, there is an over layer of fabric for the skirt
The Belt is on. Now the added skirt part
Another belt part
The extra skirt part begins
It looks great, but I broke the sleeves
Fixing the sleeves and its PERFECT

I forgot pants. Auto add garment and now edit to my liking

Now. I must add a jade ornament. It is what they wear as a sign of them being gentlemen like, hard to describe

How to add it... Here I go
It in
Upgrading
Done

Now to put the outfit back together piece by piece
AMAZING. Now that Jade ornament

I don't know how to make it within this... ROBE IT IS
OK. I think this will work, but we'll see

It didn't so I'm fixing it ha ha ha (it was bad)
Take 2
MUCH BETTER. Now to connect the collar and the front and back together
Done
I am proud
I started adding stuff
Yes. And colours
AND I'M DONE!
That was fun relearning and trying new things :D
