SIT coming back?

This is the new email about New Zealand moving to Level 2
Coronavirus lockdown: When will it end and how? - BBC News
Hi all,

We are now planning a transition to level two which means we are working on the logistical challenges of more onsite delivery starting from Monday next week. It has been a challenging time, we have been delivering classes remotely since the start of the new term two weeks ago.

I hope you all managed to be able to connect with your peers on Discord during the longer than usual term break. We elected to reconfigure term dates to facilitate this as we were concerned that some students did not have access to the computing facilities they needed.

This week is our second week of onsite delivery for those that registered. We will attempt to provide access to the campus for computer access to all students as of Monday. These will be specifically timetabled sessions as we still have to adhere to social distancing requirments which means no more than 9 students per lab.

Teaching delivery will be both onsite and remote so those of you who are considered at risk should continue to work from home. I anticipate getting a timetable out to you all in the coming days. This is not yet business as usual. Each year group will be allocated a lab and you will receive details of specific sessions to attend.

Please continue to check your emails, Blackboard and Discord regulalry. We are here to support you but also need you to communicate with us so we can all get through this challenging time together. I have been delighted to see some of the amazing work that has gone on during the lockdown so I congratulate you all for  engaging with us over the break and participating in the remote classes available over the past two weeks.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to make contact. Your tutors and I are here to help where we can. I look forward to seeing you all back on site in the near future.

Stay well

Kathryn McCully
