Artist Model Overview

Here is some info for the artist models I have for this proposal

I have four artist models for this project

Spiderman into the Spider-Verse
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse -- Who are all these Spider ...
I was inspired by the style of hybrid animation from ‘Spiderman into the Spiderverse’. Spiderverse was inspired by the style and feel of comic books, and this is reflected in their work. My focus is less toward comic books (more manga), but instead on 2D animation, with myself trying to create a more efficient way to animate 2D, by using 3D but keeping the 2D style. I know I am also heavy inspired by the animation style in Asia, with realistic proportions, yet over exaggerated expressions (done in a simple yet effective way)

Just A Thought
Just a Thought | Disney Wiki | Fandom
With facebook, I saw a video of how 'Just A Thought' (by Disney) was made. It shows how they created the shot shown. They first start out with 3D animation, with then rotoscoping 2D animation and effects overtop of it, using the 3D as a base for 2D. I had used this pipeline at the start of the year as an experiment. I set up a 3D bedroom and animated the camera to spin in the center to overlay 2D animation, using the 3D as a base/reference. With trialing this, I learned that this takes lots of time, and now look to using the 3D with 2D instead. With that said, I could still use rotoscoping with smaller objects/items, instead of the fill scene

Amazing World of Gumball
The Amazing World Of Gumball Season 6 | Sky Go
I have seen this show on TV a few times. The animation in TV series ‘Amazing World of Gumball’ is a strange and unique American cartoon series, combining 3D, 2D, paper, clay animation, live-action and many other different animation styles in every episode. This is a chosen practitioner for the fact of them having 2D characters interact smoothly and believably with 3D characters and scenes. I will be looking to add 2D assets along with the 3D to give more to my work

Pocoyo
Kidscreen » Archive » Zinkia, Epic Story bring Pocoyo back to shelves
Pocoyo is a Spanish made series for preschoolers. This follows a young boy and his friends. This is 3D animated in a simple style, but what got my attention was the cartoon-like movements, and the simplistic facial expressions. They created 2D facial expressions and have 2D-like movements with a 3D model. I will be using this style within my animation with my character’s facial expressions, as I find I can create more expressive expressions with 2D/drawing them myself
