The day before the Exhibition
Well
Turns out there was a problem with emails
I had sent an email to Chris M right away last week Wednesday, but I didn't get a response
I gave him a few days and still nothing
I sent a new email asking for help again and I finally got a response
He had responded to my email, but I didn't receive it
The very next day, Vivi and I met up with Chris to sort what will be printed and when
I was to have them ready before 4:30 to print the day before the installation
When I got home and checked by emails, I saw that he would print them the next day early in the morning (the day of install) before class
I was a little worried, but thought it would be OK
It would have a few hours to dry so all good
The next day, while waiting for Fabri for 5 minutes, I didn't see the prints
Also the money for the food was not here yet!
I sent an email right away asking how the printing went
I then learned that they had still not been done
I got a little stressed, so I helped with install with my sister (for the first 45 minutes. Then my sister went home)
I knew the printing would be done, I just didn't know when
I helped get the TV's from the BoomRoom to the Gallery, get podiums for the TV's and cut 2 artist statements
Someone had murdered some artist statements!
I saw it, and showed Devon and others RIGHT AWAY!!
They would have to be reprinted!
I wanted to help more, but I was excited
Today was the first day of my internship!
I started at 12
A few hours into the internship
I helped print off new artist statements for Kang to cut (he is really good at cutting!)
I would print it, he would cut it
Then they were done
Tutor Chris M Finally Started Printing!!
They were printed at 3:37
I messaged Vivi right away (we were going to help each other. We had planned to do it in the morning before 12, but things change)
Vivi had work in the afternoon and couldn't come!
So I helped
I messaged the one I was working for in the internship about me stopping for a little bit to sort my exhibition
They were OK with it
I left the prints to dry for about 40 minutes (hoping it would be enough)
It must be up before 5!
Tutor Rachel And Gale Came!
I started to feel stressed, knowing that I had planned so much for the exhibition, but I ran out of time
Also about the time limit pressing in my mind
Tutor Rachel asked if I had a TV as well as the prints
I said no
She said to blog blog blog (I know what that means)
I knew I didn't do enough
I had hoped to have more time to do more once the printing was sorted
But it wasn't sorted til the very last hours
The stress got to my head a little
I was not upset. I was just reacting to the stress I knew I could not fix myself
But that's OK
It is done!
THANK YOU TUTOR RACHEL!
I would have had a really fun time trying to cut Vivi's and my prints off alone
After they were done, I then took them downstairs to put them on the wall right away
I was to use the velcro dots
It was fun by myself, but I did it
I noticed that I should have made more room for my own artist statement ha ha
Oh well. They are up! YAY
Vivi's looks great
Everyone's looks great!!
I am happy that's over
I now know to look more at my major project, and less my mini projects
Once the hunfu is printed for ILT, that is it!!
I look forward to getting food at 10 tomorrow with Vivi, Fabri, Ramya and Saemi for the afternoon shared lunch
A good day
