Drive Noo!

My drive has broken!

This is not good, but not all is lost

My drive fell from a small height and something within the drive moved out of place

At first I needed to get over the shock of not being able to get onto the drive, then I needed to get some help for if it is ever possible to get anything off it

I knew to expect the worst case scenario but hope for the best

We both determined that it is the hard drive it's self and that the only option would be to open it up and try that way

I still decided to take the drive home to my brother (who is a genius with anything computers) and he downloaded lots software to try and recover anything and many different things overnight, but also said the only option now is to get professionals to open it up

So, today tutor Chris P and and Chris M will open it up to see what they can do

It is probably gone and I will never see those files again

But

Now I have had some time to rationalise. All is not lost

I have the important files on my website

I can download what I have on there to my new drive

So my showreel and other finished work is still there

I have my videos

I have the important artwork and what I need there

I have my CV there

I was yet to add the compressed files to my website, and now I am glad I didn't

So all is not lost

I just don't have the files that made them. And that is OK. I have the end result

I also have the current work saved in many places! So I can keep working normally

I also have a new drive. So it is OK
